Field Trip: Piscinas de Marés | Porto, Portugal
Piscinas das Marés is built into the rocks in Leça da Palmeira beach in Porto. Two salt water pools (one for adults and one for children), changing rooms and a café make up for the facility, built by the Portuguese architect Álvaro Siza Vierira in 1966. The pool is one of Siza Vieira's recognised projects, classified as a National Monument of Portugal in 2011.
